1.    Scope of this will
1.1    I am ROBERT CRAUSE THIRD LORD BARON BADEN-POWELL OF GILWELL of    
Weston Farmhouse The Street Albury Guildford Surrey GUS 9AY. This is my last Will, disposing
of all my worldwide assets.    
1.2    I revoke any previous Wills and Codicils.    
2.    Funeral wishes
I would like my body to be cremated by direct cremation and that my ashes should be interred in the grave where the body of my late wife Patience is interred at St Peter and St Paul's Churchyard Albury.
3.    Appointment of executors and trustees
I appoint ROBERT MICHAEL ROTHENBERG of 74 Hillway London N6 6DP ("Bob") and SARAH ALISON HAMMOND of The Cottage Chilworth Road Albury Guildford GU5 9BE ("Sarah") to be the executors and trustees of this Will.
4.    Personal Possessions
4.1    Whereas the items listed below in this clause 4.1 which are currently on loan to the SCOUT ASSOCIATION of Gilwell Park London F4 70W (registered charity number. 306101) are entailed with the Baronetcy of Lord Baden-Powell of Gilwell upon my brother the Honourable DAVID MICHAEL BADEN-POWELL of 18 Kalang. Road Camberwell Victoria 3124 Australia (failing whom to his eldest son DAVID ROBERT BADEN-POWELL of 9 Davison Street Brunswick Victoria 3056 Australia) I direct that my Trustees shall seek instructions from my said brother (or his said son David if my brother does not survive me) as to the disposal of these items as it is my wish and hope that they may remain or be placed in the care of the SCOUT ASSOCIATION:
    (a) The Great Seal and Letters Patent conferring the title of a Baronet on the first
         Lord Baden-Powell in 1921 together with the medal of the Baronetcy which
         is currently in my possession;
    (b) The Great Seal and Letters Patent conferring the Barony of Lord Baden-Powell
          of Gilwell in 1929; and
    (c) The Great Seal and Letters Patent granting supporters to the family Armorial
         Bearings for Arthur Peter 2nd Baron Baden-Powell Of Gilwell in 1962.
4.2    I give to my cousin EDWARD JAMES BADEN-POWELL of 14 St Johns Grove London N19 5RW ("My cousin Edward"):                   
    (a)    the Lordships of the Manors of Waltham-le-Willows (which includes the
            Lordships of Waltham and Waltham Church House) and of Wattisfield; 



    (b)    all books written by or relating to or connected to my grandfather the
            Right Honourable Robert Stephenson Smythe The First Baron Baden-Powell's
            ("B-P") which I shall own at the date of my death;
    (c)    all the paintings pictures sketches and drawings made, by B-P which I shall
            own at the date of my death;
    (d)    B-P's order of merit badge and any B-P statues whether china or silver and
            anything else in the nature of memorabilia as my Trustees shall in their
            absolute discretion decide, such decision of my Trustees as to the identity
            of all items passing under this clause shall be binding upon my cousin
            Edward; and
    (e)    my lead cistern with P/DS 1761 moulded into the frontal design which is
            presently outside the stables at Weston Farmhouse and was made to mark
            the move from Suffolk to Clapton of my great great grandparents David and
            Susanna Powell.
  4.3    I give:
    (a)    my gold Jaeger-LeCoultre wristwatch to Patience's nephew MICHAEL BATTY
            of 9 The Moorlands Kingfield Woking Surrey GU22 9BJ ("Patience's nephew
             Michael");
    (b)    my red sculpture called Wallflower or similar by the artist Julian Wild which
             is presently on the perimeter wall at my home Weston Farmhouse to
             Patience's nephew Michael;
     (c)    my narrow redwood side-table made by Douglas Myers Batty to Patience's
             nephew Michael;
     (d)    my sculpture by the artist called Knotted Wragwort by the artist Julian Wild
             to Patience's nephew ROBERT BATTY. 2 Heather Close Totton Southampton
             Hampshire SO40 8BL ("Patience's nephew Robert");
     (e)    my small redwood dining table made by Douglas Myers Batty to Patience's
             nephew Robert;
     (f)    my Georgian display table in the style of Thomas Chippendale to BECCA
             MALCOLMSON of 16 Gayton Court Somers Road Reigate Surrey RH2 9DX
             ("Becca");
     (g)    my two wooden pieces by Martin Dodge being firstly four compact tea
             tables and secondly the obelisk to Bob's wife NITA ROTHENBERG;
     (h)    my two sculptures of male torsos made using wire mesh which are
              presently in the kitchen at my home Weston Farmhouse to Sarah; and
     (i)     two of my sculptures by the artist Julian Wild being firstly one sculpture
             called Mauer Blume (Wallflower) commissioned in 2019 and secondly one
             sculpture called Origin Column or similar commissioned in 2019 to WOKING
             MUSEUM AND ARTS AND CRAFTS CENTRE (registered charity number
             1073543) (also known as The Lightbox) of The Lightbox Chobham Road
             Woking Surrey GU21 4AA ("The Lightbox").    



  4.4    My Trustees must pay from my Estate the costs of packing, transporting and
           insuring the items included in the gifts in this clause 4 until the ultimate
           recipients are in possession of them.
5.    Money
I give:
  (a) Two hundred and eighty-thousand pounds (£280,000.00) to my cousin Edward
        such sum representing the amount realised from the sale during my lifetime of
        B-P's William Seuffert inlaid presentation desk given to B-P by the people of
        Auckland New Zealand in 1904;
  (b)  One hundred thousand pounds (£100,000.00) to Patience's nephew Michael;
  (c)  Two hundred thousand pounds (£200,000.00) to Patience's nephew Robert;
        and
  (d)  Forty thousand pounds (£40,000.00) to Becca.
6.    Company assets
    6.1    I give my holding of shares in Fieldguard Limited registered in England and Wales with company number 01984994 the business of which is carried on at Norley Farm Horsham Road Cranleigh Surrey 0U6 8EH ("the Company") to JOHN MATHEWS of 4 Vine Cottage Gomshall Lane Shere Surrey GU5 9HE.
    6.2    I give any loans I may have made to the Company which are outstanding at my death to my cousin Edward.
    6.3    If any of the shares comprised in the gift contained at clause 6.1 are as a result of takeover amalgamation or reconstruction represented by a different holding clause 6.1 above shall take effect as a gift of that holding.    
7.    Gift to charity
    7.1    In this clause 7:
     (a) the following terms have the meanings given in Schedule 1A to the
          !nheritance Tax Act 1984 (Schedule 1A) 
         (i) baseline amount;
         (ii) estate (but Estate has the meaning given in paragraph I of Schedule 1:
         (iii) general component;
         (iv) settled property component; and
         (v) survivorship component;                 
    (b) reserved benefit assets means all the assets that are treated as part of my
         estate under section 102(3) of the Finance Act 1986; 
    (c) Specified Baseline Amount means the baseline arnount for the general
         component and the survivorship component and the settled property
         component of my estate and reserved


         benefit assets, if these were treated
         as a single component under paragraph 7(3) of Schedule 1A; and
    (d) Charitable Amount means a sum of money equal to 10% of the Specified
         Baseline Amount the higher of:
         (i) sum of money equal to 10% of the Specified Baseline Amount; and
         (ii) one hundred and twenty thousand pounds (£120,000.00).
7.2    I give the Charitable Amount to the following charities in in the shares specified in this clause 7.2:    
    (a) Sixty percent (60%) to CELIA CROSS GREYHOUND TRUST (registered charity
         number 1020383) of Sun Valley Farm Kennels Shere Road West Clandon
         Surrey GU4 8SH;
    (b) Thirty percent (30%) to The Lightbox; and
    (c) Ten percent (10%) to PHYLLIS TUCKWELL HOSPICE CARE (registered charity
         number 264501) of Waverley Lane Farnham Surrey GU9 8BL.
7.3     If my Estate is not large enough for my Trustees to pay all the gifts in this will as directed in clause 9, the gift in this clause 7 takes priority over all the other gifts.
7.4    The gift in this clause 7 takes effect whether or not any part of the Specified Baseline Amount qualifies for the lower rate of inheritance tax.
8.    Inheritance tax
Notwithstanding clause 7.3, my Trustees must pay all inheritance tax payable as a result of my death on any specific gifts in this will from my Estate, except when this Will expressly states that a gift is subject to inheritance tax. If my Trustees pay inheritance tax on a specific gift of an asset outside the United Kingdom, the payment of inheritance tax is itself free of inheritance tax. For  the meaning of "inheritance tax", see the Schedule.
9.    Administration of Estate
  9.1    My Trustees must hold my Estate on trust. They may sell all or any of the assets in my Estate as they consider appropriate. From my Estate they must pay     
    (a)    my debts;
    (b)    my funeral and testamentary expenses; and
    (c)    all the gifts in this will; and
    (d)    any inheritance tax that they have to pay under clause 8 that is not
            a testamentary expense.
  9.2    My Trustees must hold whatever remains when these payments have
           been made (Trust Fund) on the trusts in the following clauses. The term
           Trust Fund also includes the assets representing the remainder, and
           any added income.



10.    Gift of the Trust Fund
My Trustees must hold the Trust Fund on trust for my cousin Edward absolutely. If he dies before me, my Trustees must hold the Trust Fund on trust for his wife ROSA MARY BADEN-POWELL absolutely and further provided that if both my cousin Edward and his said wife Rosa should predecease me my Trustee's shall hold the Trust Fund for such of my cousin Edward and his said wife Rosa's four children as are then living and attain the age of eighteen years and if more than one in equal shares.    
11.    Section 33 of the Wills Act 1837    
Section 33 of the Wills Act 1837 does not apply to any gift in this will.
12.    The Schedule and administrative provisions
12.1    The Schedule Forms part of this will and has effect as if set out in full in the body of this will and any reference to this will includes the Schedule.
12.2    The standard provisions and all of the special previsions of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (2nd Edition) apply to this Will.


Schedule 1    Meaning of words used in this will
1.    Definitions
The definitions in this paragraph apply in this will except in relation to the standard and special provisions of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Estate: all the assets that I can dispose of by Will.    
My Trustees: my executors, my administrators and the trustees of any trusts under this Will. However, after a grant of probate or letters of administration has been issued for my Estate, this term does not include anyone appointed as an executor who has not proved this Will.
2.    References to inheritance tax
References in this Will to inheritance tax include estate duty and capital transfer tax. They also include any other tax payable on inheritances or on death introduced after the date of this will.
3.    References to testamentary expenses
References to testamentary expenses include all the expenses incurred in obtaining a grant of probate for my Estate, such as:    
 3.1    the costs of any action that my Trustees need to take, including necessary legal proceedings;
 3.2    the costs of collecting in, preserving and selling assets in my Estate;
 3.3    the costs of administering my Estate, including the professional charges of solicitors, valuers and. other advisers; and
 3.4    inheritance tax for which my Trustees are liable under this Will, and which is treated as part of the  general testamentary and administration expenses of my Estate under section 211(1) of the Inheritance Tax Act 1984.
4.    References to this Will    
References in this Will to this Will include any codicil to this will. However, any reference to the date of this Will is a reference to the date of this particular document.
