Track Day Ian W
02 October 2016

We spent Sunday morning tantalisingly poised between blazing sunshine and chilly mist.  Eventually the sun won the day and we had a great running day.

Ian W started proceedings by running a marine engine, built from a set of castings and powered by compressed air.

It was a good morning for steam effects, demonstrated here by Dave W's Roundhouse Darjeeling B Class.

More steam from Tom's RH Tom Rolt, seen here on a Mutton Express flying through Millstone Station. The regular passengers appear to be unimpressed.

THere were the usual diversions including a late appearance by Fraser R and an outbreak of Mamod Racing.  Ian McG took up the Shunting Challenge that Ian's new layout offers.

Cegin took out the last train of the day. Good to see that Ian hasn't gone down the prototypical rust route recently displayed at Statfold Barn.

Thanks go to Susan for an enjoyable lunch.
