Track Day Dave W
04 October 2015

Dry, overcast and just a wee bit chilly. Last week's Indian Summer just a memory. Nevertheless there was a good turnout for the Glenmutchkin  Light Railway's autumn running day.

Plenty of locos running so here we have just a sample of what was on offer.

Andrew M's Tin Turtle is shunted onto the loop while Tom H's Roundhouse Tom Rolt rors past with steam to spare.

Ian W ran both Lilla and Britomart, seen above.

After several circuits Britomart eventually ran out of steam on the climb. Mike B's Roy Wood built Salem was on hand to effect a rescue.

Chris C's Ragleth passing Dave W's parked up Friog. A good day for steam effects.

David H brought along one of his HGLW open cab shunters and the prototype wagons that he has been working on for Glendreich. Hopefully there will be a rake of the flat wagons to be seen at the Greenock Show later this month.

Today's line up shot. An impressive array of motive power.

Thanks go to Rosena for lunch and to Susan for assisting.

Andrew has posted some more photos on the WoSG Facebook group.
