Track Day - Bob Y
06 September 2015
Those of us who made the trek to the further reaches of Argyllshire for Bob's running day were rewarded with some positive climatic conditions. Tom had brought along Taliesin.
Dave W's Merlin Maestro demonstrated the inherent weakness of 27 Mhz radio control. Upgrade imminent.
Ian McG ran his Roundhouse Atlantic, a loco whose prototype ran in an even more remote part of the West Highlands.
Andrew brought along a couple of meths fired Mamods including 'Pioneer'.
Our host fired up Eric, complete with Darjeeling headlight and distinctive livery.
This week's roster shot.
Dave W brought along the prototypes of HGLW's latest product - whisky crates.
On such occasions the banter and repartee almost eclipses the serious business of running steam locos. As for lunch! As Dougie hisself would say 'It was chust sublime!'. Thank you Chris.
Andrew has posted a few more pictures on the Facebook group and Tom has put up a couple of shots of today's Glendreich working party.
