Track Day at Raymond and Pat's
01 December 2013

Apologies for the late posting of this piece.

Sunday gave us a reasonable half day for our visit to the deep South West. Conditions were especially good for steam photography as demonstrated by Dave W's Roundhouse Darjeeling B class.

and Ian W's scratchbuilt Bombay & Baroda No. 1

Not every thing was plain sailing. Tom had to borrow some hi-tech rescue equipment to retrieve Linda

while his recently acquired meths fired Mamod needed a bit of a push from around the same spot

Raymond's friend Donald brought his coal fired scratchbuilt Miss Muriel, loosely based on the Eric design.

Eagle eyed readers will have spotted some newly laid and distinctly over scale track on some of the photos above.

Raymond demonstrated his Harlandic Titan - a model of a 5'3" diesel that runs on 7.25 inch gauge track.

He very sportingly let us all have a go as driver.

The day's other highlight was an excellent lunch featuring some very tasty lentil soup.  Big thanks go to Pat.
