A rather belated report due to a lack of photos. Many thanks to Andrew who provided the shots used here.

Last year's OF Gala was the debut appearance of Glendreich which proved to workable and capable of showcasing steam. The layout even proved itself capable of surviving a West Highland downpour. This year's weather was much kinder and we stayed dry.
As a group we had an excellent turnout and a good variety of stock on display. We spotted a few necessary improvements to the scenic treatment so there are no prizes for spotting the missing rails on the photo above.

Ian McG's deWinton was a new spot for m ost of the group. Recently fettled by Ian W it is seen below hauling a short rake of Andel coal hutches.Glendreich lends itself mainly to small I/c outline locos but we did have a couple of steam locos working including Dave W's  veteran Merlin Minstrel, seen here in the 'fiddle yard'.

Ian W's 'Cegin ' also steamed successfully.

Our thanks go to Chris who put up another magnificent lunch despite her many other commitments on the day. There was even a splendid chocolate wedding cake in honour of Mr & Mrs H.
