The prospects for play did not look too good at 15.00 on Saturday but by steam up time things were looking a bit less damp. Conditions were not ideal for photography.

Tom produced his new diesel outline 'Danny' , a rather neat little RC loco with a surprising ability to haul a load around the Glenmutchkin Light Railway's gradients. Ian W's 'Cegin' wasn't going to let steam be eclipsed.

Ian's WD Hunslet went one better with a full bogie wagon load of granite grit added to the train to make it more of a test.

Most of the day's roster posed for the camera with 'Danny' to the fore.

The one exception was a visitor from the East, Barry W, who ran his new Roundhouse 'Taliesin' and a very smart rake of chocolate and cream coaches.
