Track day at Pat M's
07 October 2012

A beautifully sunny autumn day found a select group of us at Pat's. In fact it was so sunny that it affected photography and I am sticking to that story. The 1 in 12 (!) gradient on Pat's branch line tested both man and machine. Here Ian W's Lilla, slightly bruised from the descent, makes light work of a loaded ballast train on the uphill. Tom's Roundhouse Tom Rolt looked very smart at the head of a train of Pringles tanker wagons. Other snacks are available.

Pat's row of terraced hoses and shops, made in Central Scotland by David Horne, looked very realistic. Dave W's Roundhouse Russel posed obligingly for the camera before tackling the bank.

Pat supplied an excellent lunch and we all enjoyed the sunshine.
