Spring has sprung
15 April 2012

A beautifully sunny day saw a good attendance for running at Raymond and Pat's where the bluebells had come out to join us. Ian W's scratchbuilt Lilla  ambles by with a mixed goods.

Bob Y's Eric added a splash of colour to proceedings, here running light engine past Dave W's Mamod.  The eagle eyed will have already spotted that Eric's stack has been temporarily removed to suit the local loading gauge.

No such problems for Ian W's latest masterpiece, Cegin - a Barclay 0-4-0 that spent much of its time on the Penrhyn Quarry system in North Wales. Although it looks tiny, Cegin had  no difficulty with David A's beautifully finished rake of Brandbright coaches.

No trip to this line is complete without a shot of Raymond's  bridge. Here we see Dave W's Roundhouse Darjeeling B with David A's coaches, running wrong line for no good reason at all.

Thanks go to Pat for the excellent refreshments and as ever we all enjoyed the chance to marvel at Raymond's workshop and his latest creation.
