It's a while since an update was posted. A ew of us met at Tom's today to do a bit more work on the layout which is  coming together nicely.

The back scene is starting to take shape while scenic treatment such as ballasting has transformed the look of the trackwork.

Various members have been busy at home. Ian W has built a very nice small loco shed which is complete apart from a bit of roof weathering and painting the window frames. A lengthy committee meeting eventual decided in favour of British Racing Green glosswork.

Tom has done a sterling job of painting barrels (only another 30 or so to go) and they fit rather nicely on a Binnie skip chassis. Dave W has chipped in with a small freelance peat wagon - all we need now is a way of convincingly modelling peat.
