Early Christmas in Ayrshire.
18 December 2011

All mod cons were provided for our pre-Christmas track day at Tom's including a bright, sunny, but very cold morning, a wood burning stove adjacent to the steaming up area and our as yet un-named portable layout set up in the garage.

Christmas had come somewhat early at Tom's in the form of a Roundhouse Taliesin in fully lined Victorian maroon - a very smart locomotive indeed.

Ian W brought his newly completed Barclay E-class, Cegin. A superb piece of work it makes most of our locos look like elephants.

There were some nice festive touches around Tom's garden including snow on the rooftops on the backscene on the branch line. No photo of that so you will have to settle for a picture of Dave W's Roundhouse Darjeeling passing Santa and a Christmas tree on the platform.

Tom surpassed himself with the Onion Soup and the catering as usual was first class. Thank you Moira. Fraser wanted to know if you were the Soupervisor. Groan.
