For those who don't know, Elsecar Show near Barnsley is organised by the 16mm Association's Yorkshire Group and is the biggest annual 16mm Show apart from the Association show (Peterborough 31st March). Most of the main traders were there as well as a variety of layouts from which we may be able to nick some ideas.

This year we had an excellent WoSG turn out at the show. Watch out for some new stock appearing at forthcoming meets. As the photo shows the venue is a very large hall, with plenty of space to circulate, room for steam to rise and, most importantly, catering facilities.

The biggest layout on display was the Yorkshire Group's own Mount Dowd which makes South Beach look like a table top set up. I'd like to see them fit that into a marquee. We did a double take here. Is that bright green loco one of Bob's?
