We took South Beach to the Perth Show, setting up on Friday and operating full days on Saturday and Sunday. A considerable amount of work had gone into scenifying the layout and we were pleased with the overall result.

We had a good selection of motive power and, at times, an embarrassment of rolling stock. There weren't any serious disasters - just the odd radio control glitch and a signal demolished by a Vale of Rheidol that stretched the loading gauge to the limit.

Hopefully the visitors to the show enjoyed the chance to watch live steam running and maybe we have spurred one or two people into taking up 16mm.
