A visit to the Glenmutchkin
15 May 2011

Our second Track Day in May involved a return visit to West Lothian's Glenmutchkin Light Railway, a circuit described by one senior member as "challenging". Some of the visiting thoroughbreds quickly found the track defects whilst other visitors took it all in their stride. No bonus for the GLR's PW team this year. Tom's Garratt put in a strong performance and has clearly benefitted from a visit to the I W Works. Spill of the day was narrowly won by Pat M's Cheddar Iver, fortunately with no damage done. Lunch was well up to standard - thank you Rosena.

may 2011 b yThe afternoon's grand finale was provided by BY of OF who gave his Blue Brazil an extended workout. This splendid loco only needs a set of "Cowdenbeath" plates and a whistle to be truly the finished article. Hopefully everybody enjoyed themselves as much as Shannon (Pat's dog) who did not want to leave at home time.
