13th BURTON ON REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE
13 November 2012

Cub Scouts and Scouts from the 13th Burton Scout Group together with Burton Explorer Scouts made up the largest contingent on this year's Remembrance Day parade. Leaving in full sunshine from the Town Hall, the march left at a quick pace through the town centre and onto the Parish Church in the Market Place, where a short service was held.
After the service it was just a short march to the War Memorial where the traditional two minutes silence was held before the wreath laying commenced. The Mayor and the MP led the way followed by representatives from many of the town's organisations. Assistant District Commissioner Brian Reeves laid the wreath on behalf of Burton Scouts.
After leaving the Memorial grounds, the salute was taken by the Mayor of Burton as the parade headed back to the Town Hall.
Thanks for a job well done.
