HASTINGS - NORTH'S SEAT

One of the most scenic routes with some spectacular views across to the coast, but also probably the most testing route!  North's Seat, on the edge of Hastings Country Park, is the highest point in Hastings and on a clear day you can see the coast of France with the naked eye! The route goes down through the valley into Pett, and then a mid-section loop around the village, before a long, steady climb back to the start. En route you will pass Fairlight Hall, an impressive Victorian gothic mansion, and have fine views for most of the way of the surrounding countryside.
