An extremely scenic route with some lovely views, particularly in the early stages as you follow the Sussex Border Path out towards Ewhurst. You should also take the opportunity to visit the lovely gardens at Great Dixter, which were originally laid out by Lutyens. Refreshments are available at the gift shop, which is also stocking copies of this book; you can go directly to the gift shop at the end of the track by the main car park if you don't intend to tour round the gardens.
