STAGE 1: PEVENSEY CASTLE TO BOREHAM STREET

The 1066 Country Walk begins inside historic Pevensey Castle, one of Britain's oldest fortresses - a truly inspiring way to begin your journey through the ages! For the first 5 miles you can enjoy the peaceful tranquility of Pevensey Levels, which was once completely underwater centuries ago and is now a Site of Special Scientific Interest. After passing the magnificent Herstmonceux Castle, you have 2 more miles of pretty countryside to pass through before reaching Boreham Street.
