CROESO / WELCOME
to the Wales Black History Teachers Forum

The Wales Black History Teachers Forum was set up in 2013 with support from the Black Voluntary Sector Network Wales and Learning Links International.

Our second meeting was held on 10th September at the Welsh Assembly - check notes here

We aimed to get more active to support the plans for the Wales Black History Association.

We planned to set up WBHTF with the aim to provide a forum for teachers to provide information and resources for other teachers and communitiy groups across Wales, working with all age groups, in order to integrate Black History into the overall educational experience of the Welsh curriculum.

We held our first meeting in July 2012 at Barry Comprehensive School. See the notes from the meeting here

At present our resources are in English only, but we are applying for funding and / or seeking volunteers to translate for us - let us know if you can help.

We also aim to share good practice from schools and also to link with the Black History Month organisations in Wales and England. Check the LINKS page on the left <<<<<

NB: this site is still very much under development!
