The Widening Hosrizons team are volunteers working with Learning Links International who have a team of well qualified and experienced educational advisors and creative artistes who can offer a range of support activities for schools and colleges.

Meet some of the team:

Liz Millman, set up and manages Widening Horizons, and has strong links with the Jamaican Ministry of Education and she is also the founding Director of Learning Links International. Liz is a trained Primary School teacher who uniquely holds a Hons. Degree in aspects of Jamaican Education and holds the Association of Jamaican Nationals - Special Recognition Award.

Yasus Afari is one of Jamaica’s best loved, most innovative and active poets and author.  Yasus worked with Liz Millman since 2007, touring in the UK and other parts of the world, working with schools, universities, prisons and the Jamaican Diaspora community sharing his special message.  Yasus Afari inspired the Jamaican Ministry of Education to develop the vibrant and successful “Culture Agent” programme for schools across Jamaica. He travels the world as a successful performance poet and reggae artiste, as well as lecturing and teaching. See www.yasusafarionline.com
