Yesterday was a sad day for many on the occasion of the funeral of Norman Douglas, known to us together with his late wife Olga as the former breeder of the beautiful Chriscaro Bearded Collies.  In the 70's and 80's this small family kennel produced Beardies of great quality which were successful in show rings both at home and abroad.

Many breeders today, ourselves included, have appreciated the outstanding quality of the Chriscaro Beardies, and their breeding lines can be found behind many modern-day pedigrees.

After the service was a time for reminiscing, and it was good to get together with Beardie people from the North-East who all remembered Olga and Norman so well, and chat for a while about days gone by.
