Breagh and Gillie meet the sheep

Thanks to Lyn Armour for bringing her two Beardie boys all the way from Scotland to show us what they could do.

Breagh went first, he is nine years old and on medication for Addison's, so we were understandably wary of allowing him to do too much. He himself had no such worries, and set to with gusto, showing a nice attitude, joyful but controllable.  He stopped when asked to do so, and came back to roll ecstatically on the grass at our feet - one very happy Beardie!

Gillie went next, and it's fair to say at seven years old he was quite capable of showing any younger dog how it's done.  He has huge natural talent, circled both ways equally fluently and proved highly steerable and stoppable when Jackie began to ask for a little more control.  A very impressive dog!

Of course Diva and Bella had their turns with the sheep as well, and our girls did not disgrace us, putting in their best efforts.  Diva had a session with four VERY fast and lively Shetland sheep, if you have never seen this breed they are quite small and agile!  She had to run like the wind to outflank them and I know she will sleep tonight.  We took some photos and will get them up for viewing shortly.
