WKC Ch Show

Yesterday at yet another wet and muddy show - whatever happened to our summer? - Honey took a VHC in the Yearling class, while Ellie won the Graduate class under judge Mr Felix Cosme.

As she already had three firsts in Graduate under her belt, which means she needs to move up to Post-Graduate now, Ellie will shortly be taking a break from showing to allow her coat to finish changing, though she may attend an odd show to keep in practice! In the meantime Diva will be having a few outings, unfortunately she may find showing a very boring pastime compared with herding!!!

On the subject of herding, it was great to see a nice photo of our own Bob Harland, with two of his dogs, in the local paper this week, alongside an article about the English National Trials, in which Bob has been taking part this weekend. Participants in the Carl Borgstrom weekend will remember the photographer's visit, and his rather tricky request for the dogs to face the camera. Clearly he didn't realise that these two good sheepdogs were not going to willingly remove their eyes from the sheep!

In the meantime our sweet Phoebe (Wellknowe Candle Light)continues to hold her own, but is increasingly frail nowadays as the cancer takes its toll: we  treasure every day we have with her.  Luckily she is still enjoying her food and her tail has never lost its wag. Thankyou to those friends who have asked after her and sent their love and good wishes.
