As we have come to expect, the Newcastle racecourse venue for this show was cold and windswept, and frequent hot drinks were necessary to keep our spirits up despite the warm welcome from the committee and our fellow exhibitors!

The showing element of our trip was brisk and mercifully not too time-consuming and the girls Lacey, Beattie and Honey picked up second, first and third in their respective classes before an enjoyable gallop across the grass

They then adjourned to take a snooze in the car while the jolly crowd of Beardie exhibitors and friends went indoors for hot drinks and cake celebrating Liz's birthday and Cath and Ken Moffat's silver wedding anniversary, before watching the Best In Show judging - a very pleasant day out for dogs and humans alike
