We are so sorry to report that Anne and Martyn have sadly had to say goodbye to their wonderful "Barney" (Ch Talraz Tamarisk), just as his grand-daughter "Honey" was enjoying her moment in the limelight at Belfast Ch show.

"Barney" was a son of our gorgeous Lulu (Talraz Tutti Frutti JW 1CC 1 Res CC) by the great dog "Bruce" (Ch Chriscaro Charlock at Merrythorpe) and besides being Anne and Martyn's darling boy, he was an amazing showdog, in his prime, his greatest moment probably being Best of Breed at Crufts 2004

A plainly-marked slate dog, unexaggerated and of exemplary breed type, "Barney" gave us all some very proud moments and was especially remarkable for his free-flowing and effortless movement which he retained well into his old age

It is a pity that he was not more widely used at stud, but luckily for us we have Ruby, his beautiful daughter, and her offspring Honey and Beattie, and grandchildren Madge and Lacey, to continue the line, not forgetting several of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren scattered around the country as a living legacy

Sleep well Barney, your contribution to the Talraz line is beyond words and for Anne and Martyn you were a legend xxxx
