A very sad day for us this time last year, when we had to say goodbye to dear old Jessica, and she was in our thoughts today even while we were enjoying ourselves at this lovely show.
More happily, the dogs did us proud, and Laura did her fair share of handling, starting with wrestling a very naughty young Sona into some good enough semblance of a show dog,to take a fifth place in Puppy Dog under judge of the day Mr Ben Reynolds-Frost
Blake was a good boy for Liz and won his Graduate class, and Creaglion went on to win Post-Graduate - pictured above side by side in the Dog Challenge
Lacey put in a good performance in the Puppy Bitch class, standing....
.....and moving very nicely, but failed to catch the judge's eye today!
While Beattie, handled by Laura, and Lola, handled by her friend Yvonne, came out with first and second cards respectively, from the Graduate Bitch class
The day went on to include a lovely ringside party, celebrating, amongst other things, Mick's 60th birthday, and many of our friends stayed with us to watch the Pastoral Group at the end of the show, and support the Best of Breed winning Beardie, before the blissfully short (for us!) journey back home from this very local championship show
A very enjoyable day meeting friends old and new, just how dog shows should be!
