This was the first time we had  attended a show at this venue, the Elsecar Heritage Centre, and we rather liked it, plenty of room for the dogs and a nice friendly welcome from the committee.  Both Lacey and Beattie took second places in their breed classes under Mrs Irene Kiff, formerly of the Fenacre Beardies, now diverted to the world of Border Collies.....

 Laura enjoyed handling Beattie, and was then inspired to take Ruby into the large AV Veteran class under judge Mr E Webster (Benjcroft).  The new partnership worked well, and they took first place, winning a beautiful big rosette and a nice trophy too!

Later Lacey and Beattie went under Mr Webster in the Stakes classes - Puppy Stakes and Post-Graduate Stakes - and both gained respectable third placings, so a little top-up for their piggy banks!
