On a typical "British summer" day of alternating bright sunshine and brisk showers, the team of Lacey, Beattie and Ruby had quite a good day at this pleasant outdoor show.

Lacey won the Bearded Collie Junior class, and Best Puppy in Breed, while  Beattie, handled by our daughter Laura, won the Post-Graduate class and Best of Breed under judge Mr John Basing (Arranbrook)

Beattie went on to take fourth in the Pastoral Group, and Lacey went through to Best Puppy in Group, also winning the AV Pastoral Puppy class.

Ruby then went into the Charles Lamming Memorial Veteran Stakes, a huge class with some beautiful oldies present, and we were delighted with a good third place - and even a small cash prize! - under judge Mr George A W Baxter (Ikoura)

To finish off a really nice day, Lacey ended up with Reserve Best Puppy In Show and a very beautiful rosette for her collection....
