Team Talraz at Crufts 2011

Left to right:  Madge, Creaglion, Lola, Blake, Beattie, Cawley and Ellie pose for a group photo at the end of a hectic day's activities

We were slightly disappointed to lose two members of "Team Talraz" for the Cruft's outing - Roxy and Ebony having decided to come into season at the crucial moment - but still had quite a good turn out with seven dogs representing the family.  All behaved beautifully and were a credit to us and their owners, receiving many compliments!

It was a day for Girl Power and judge Mrs Maureen Betts certainly seemed to like what she saw.....

"LOLA"   took first in her class

Lola (Talraz Wild Honey) took the strong Yearling Bitch class, standing and moving with confidence at only her fourth ever show, bless her - and as she left the ring it was a quick change over and Beattie into her place for the Undergraduate bitch class.  All went according to plan thanks to great team work!

.......and  "BEATTIE"  went on to win her class as well!

After a short break it was time for Ellie to go in her Mid-Limit class. Senior dog of the day, she "showed her socks off" in her usual cheerful fashion, pleasing proud owner Alyse, who was there at the ringside to see her collect a very nice reserve card in this strong class

Last but by no means least, it was time for Madge to have her turn to impress our judge, and she pulled out all the stops to take a very nice second place in the KC Good Citizens class, ending a very nice run for the Talraz girls.....

"MADGE" looking livelier than her handler Liz at the end of a long and busy showing day!

The boys in the meantime did their bit in the adjacent ring, and Blake made the cut in a strong Yearling Dog class under judge Willie O'Brien, but sadly none of them collected a card on this occasion. They had to be content with the reflected glory for once!!
