We were lucky on a few counts at this Championship show!

Firstly, for the home team it is a blissfully short journey, not much over half an hour's drive, so no early morning start for us this time......

Secondly, we picked the only day when the sun actually shone over the period the show was held, so although the grass was wet at the beginning of the day, we all enjoyed some late summer sunshine...

Thirdly, the show society delayed the start of judging by that magical half hour which allowed Blake (once again the unlucky victim of traffic holdups) to get into the ring fully groomed and unflustered.......!

The day continued well for us, with Blake taking second in Junior and third in Yearling Dog, and Madge and Roxy taking third and fourth respectively in Junior Bitch.

Diva also made one of her rare show ring appearances and we were pleased to take fifth place in a good Limit Bitch class with her.

 With a little time and energy still in hand, and inspired by the good behaviour of our little team, we opted lastly to have a go at the Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen tests, which were on offer at the show, and were delighted when all three Beardie girls comfortably gained their Bronze certificates - pictured above showing off ther awards, left to right, Roxy, Diva and Madge
