We are sorry to report the sad loss of our much-loved Beardie lady Jess, a few days over 14 years and 9 months of age.  She became ill on Tuesday 20th, and as her condition worsened, ended up at the vets' on a drip.

Despite their best efforts over the next day and night, she continued to deteriorate, and the decision was made to help her cross to a better place.

She was given sleep at 4pm this afternoon, Friday 23rd July, safe in a loving embrace, and now lies at peace and free from pain in the garden where she loved to stroll each morning.

Jess was a marvellously gallant old girl who won the hearts of many, and is very much missed here at Talraz. Her remarkable recovery from the illness which laid her so low last October proved she was tougher than she looked, and she gave us those unexpected extra nine months for which we will be ever grateful - every day was a bonus!

Rest In Peace dear Jessie, you were a very special Beardie and will always be remembered by those who knew and loved you
