Border Union Ch Show

A poor day for the ice cream sellers - Tully in the ring with judge of the day Mrs Betty Aughey and some very windswept ring stewards!

Beattie celebrated her birthday with a trip up to Scotland to attend this show, normally bathed in summer sunshine.  Unfortunately a chilly wind kept the clouds moving and the Beardies' coats dancing merrily, but all the same we had a lovely trip.

Tully (Talraz Trailblazer)

It was great to see Lyn with young Tully again, and at just four days over a year old he delighted us all with his second place in a strong Junior Dog class

Creaglion (Talraz White Feathers)

Our "new" show dog Creaglion - litter brother to the late Blaze - then had a go at this strange pastime, and we were so proud that despite his lack of ring experience, he too managed a very pleasing second place in the Graduate Dog class

Beattie was the youngest in her  Junior class, having had her first birthday just the day before, but she did quite well, gaining a creditable fourth place in good company, and Ellie too was not disgraced, making the final cut in a large and high quality Limit class

Ellie (Talraz Innovation)

Unfortunately we arrived home to a family crisis, as Kit the Ragdoll had gone missing amid rumours of an encounter with an unfriendly dog, and reinforcements were urgently needed for the search party.  Diva was the heroine of the hour, tracking her little friend in an unlikely direction into the fields surrounding our village, and finally forcing her way through thick undergrowth and nettles to lie reassuringly next to him deep in the hedge bottom so that he could be rescued by human hands.  Luckily although hungry, frightened, and very tired he seems none the worse for his misadventure!
