Rounding off an action-packed Bank Holiday long weekend, Monday saw Liz together with Ruby and Madge crossing the Pennines into Lancashire to take part in the dog section of this traditional country show.

 Madge took second in the Bearded Collie Puppy Bitch class under judge Miss J Palmer, and second again in the AV Puppy Bitch class under Mr Malcolm Sparks. However the star of the day this time was our Ruby, wearing her new "lucky" show lead - who not only took Best of Breed, but also won a large and hotly contested AV Veteran class.
