A small celebration is called for today as this is a milestone it seemed our dear Jess would not be around to see!

In October last year she was very seriously ill, and totally bedbound for a week.  We were carrying her outside to perform her toilet needs, tempting her with extra-delicious food to persuade a few mouthfuls down, and taking it in turns to sleep alongside her when the long winter nights brought chills and panic attacks to our confused old girl.

We came within a whisker of making that fateful vet appointment, but something held us back........

Slowly Jess recovered, and today is very much back to her former self, slightly bossy and rather spoiled, but charming with it - good old Jess!
