It was fun to see everyone at this popular Championship show, held at the Newark & Notts showground on Easter Monday, and always well-attended with a pleasant "holiday" atmosphere.

In a large Puppy Bitch class, in which they were some of the youngest competing, we were pleased to take fourth and fifth places with Madge and Beattie respectively, placings which they repeated when returning to the ring to compete in the Maiden Bitch class.

Ellie also collected a respectable VHC in the Mid-Limit class so only our Veteran Meg went home empty-handed this time round.

Madge was especially pleased to be kitted out with a super new show lead and collar - in light red lambskin - from the stall in attendance, as she has been very jealous of Beattie's new burgundy-and-silver kangaroo leather outfit which came from a stall at Crufts earlier this year! We daren't let her see the new shades-of-brown-and-gold lead specially delivered from Pawtray Leads on its way to Honey and/or Ruby, as she just might have been tempted into an act of sabotage!
