Diva had a good session with the sheep today, learning new skills, namely penning and shedding.

Penning she loves!  It appeals to her slightly bossy nature to push the flock into the small enclosure until they stand tightly packed and motionless, under her control. as she waits for the gate to be swung closed.

Shedding she is finding a bit harder, as she can't yet see the point of splitting sheep up, having spent all her training so far based on keeping them together.  So she's going through the motions right now, in a slightly mechanical and puzzled fashion, while we wait for the penny to drop.

We have been reliably informed that once sheepdogs get the hang of shedding it quickly becomes a favourite exercise!
