Honey was happy to be joined by her mum Ruby and cousin/best friend Diva at this one of our most local Open Shows, held in the attractive setting of Askham Bryan college grounds.

Between them the three girls had quite a successful day, starting with Honey winning the Bearded Collie Post-Graduate class.  Diva (who almost never goes to shows!) then had a crack at Bearded Collie Open and to our great delight won the first place (Ruby coming in at third) and subsequently Best of Breed.  How nice to hear our judge Mrs Mary Glover comment that Diva "looked as if she could do a day's work" when we know that her talents do indeed lie in that direction.  She seemed a little bit bored, not to mention perplexed, by the whole showing lark, but being the good girl she is, she did her best, later picking up a second in the AV Pastoral Open class.

Honey, with her nose perhaps a little pushed out of joint after missing out to her kennel mate for B.O.B,. then redeemed herself a with a first in the AV Pastoral Post-Grad and (under a different judge) a really good first place win - even with prize money! - in a large AV Open Stakes class.

To cap it all, and just to stop Diva getting too big for her boots, our two blonde bombshells cavorted round the ring on a double lead to win a red card in the Brace class! Tremendous fun.....
