My GC cartoons are FREE to campaigners, just go to the Feminist Fight- Back page, and share as you like, on or offline.

On this website is a fraction of my work from the last 40 years. Many of my illustrations were published in the 'British Small Press' (before we all had the internet) in the 70s and 80s, and I've included some on this site.

Between 2015 and 2020 I was a regular political cartoonist for the UK's only Socialist daily newspaper, the Morning Star, until  I was cancelled by them for a feminist cartoon called "Endgame", which they published, and then were forced to apologise for, knowing it was a comment on the potential changes to the GRA and the erosion of Women's rights in the Equality Act 2010.

You can easily find more about this online. For example: https://Uncommongroundmedia.com/eclipse-of-the-morning-star/

I want to thank all the people who have supported me: spinster.xyz, the Free Speech  Union, ObjectUK, Older Feminists Network, Womens Human Rights Campaign, Meghan Murphy, Faircop, Women's Liberation Radio News...and all the women-friendly sites and channels who have used my art in their campaigns.

June 2021, "Are We There Yet"?
The Covid restrictions are being used as an ongoing clamp down on free speech, will they ever end?
The dream of Scottish Independence is dying in the poisoned soil of identity politics.

The Batley Scool outrage.

Weekend Warriors
Weekend Warriors
The disgraceful hi- jacking of the peaceful vigil for Sarah Everard at Clapham Common, was followed by equally disgraceful violent protests against the police in Bristol.
Bristol has 2 Universities. It has a long history of drunk/ drugged-up middle class students, slumming it on the rough side of town, joining any protest, and making it all about them.
This goes back to at least the early 60s and the Bristol Bus boycott.
Cartoon for the Fair Play For Women's successful legal challenge against the Office of National Statistics, for their guidance on how to fill in Question 1 on the England & Wales Census, " Are you a Man or a Woman"? March 2021

16 October 2020
The assassination of French teacher Samuel Paty, by the extremist wing of Cancel- Culture. I stand alongside all my fellow political cartoonists, many who live in far more dangerous countries than I do, in my duty to report, in our own way, on the issues of the day.
I have no defence other than my pens.
In October 2020, UK Uni students who went back to Halls found themselves in Covid lockdowns. Cue much wailing from over privileged brats and their parents!
Anarchists
Anarchists
XR Anarchists really did blockade the big newspaper distribution depots on 5 September 2020, preventing millions of copies reaching newsagents round the country.

Another Tasty Morsel
Another Tasty Morsel
Another Tasty Morsel - to commemorate the visit of the Chinese Premier to the UK, 20-24 October 2015.A representation of China's progressing world domination. Not published by the Morning Star because of the paper's reluctance to be seen to criticise any actions by communist countries.
'Let Me In' from 2015.

As fast as Germany opened it's borders to the first wave of Syrian refugees, other European countries were rushing to throw up fences to keep them out.

Published in the Morning Star, it shows a child's hand holding a teddy up to peer over a border fence. This has always been the most popular picture in my one-woman exhibitions.
Brexit Party
Brexit Party
On Brexit Day (31 January 2020)a rally in Parliament Square was not allowed to have music, fireworks or the bongs of ' Big Ben'! But they improvised anyway!

The BBC loathed Brexit so much that they even refused to broadcast the PM's speech to the Nation before midnight, on either TV or Radio!

'Unclean'
'Unclean'
The Labour Leadership candidates have signed a pledge to expel members who get pronouns wrong. It's caused a Twitter backlash with the hashtag 'ExpelMeToo'.
Endgame
Endgame
This cartoon is called 'Endgame' because it could be the last debate by Feminists in the western World about whether women can protect their safe spaces - for those rich enough and free enough to have the luxury to debate, of course. I understand that the Morning Star have issued an apology for publishing this cartoon! Better than being wiped out in your own editorial meeting by someone who objected to it, eh?
"Parasites" -published in the Morning Star in January 2020
Save Greta

'So good they used it twice'.
This is my iconic cartoon of the 2016 Euro Referendum vote, which clashed with Glastonbury. Will he vote or won't he?
The Morning Star used this 2 weeks before the vote, and again on the day itself.
German Election September 2017

Fluchtlinge = Refugees. Sad to say the Nazi spider is still lurking under the EU rug.
