PC Bryant v Tyson Fury, Round 2

If Orwell was alive today he'd see a great example of his Thought Police in action. Not content with slagging off Tyson Fury on Twitter, Chris Bryant has now raised the matter in Parliament and has called on Fury to come to Westminster to see him, for a "head to head". Bryant has found Fury's comments about homosexuals "deeply offensive", so he obviously needs to be re-educated. A head to head between the two will be difficult. Tyson is 6 feet 9 inches, Bryant looks like a pygmy (is that allowed?), OK then, a dwarf (definitely not PC), look - Bryant just looks a lot shorter!

You think Winston Smith had it tough? Fury has also evoked the fury of the LGBT community with his comments. No less than the partner of everyone's favourite lesbian, Clare Balding has put the stiletto heel into him as have various Gay Rights organisations. They want him kicked off the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

Of course, the Press are now hanging on his every word and he's again in trouble, for saying Jessica Ennis-Hill “looks quite fit when she’s got a dress on” and suggested “a woman’s best place is in the kitchen or on her back”. I'd best say nothing!

I don't like this bullying of Tyson, because that's what it actually is now. Cut the guy some slack FFS. He was brought up rough and tough, using his fists rather than playing with dolls and reading the works of the Great Philosophers or Karl Marx. If he has an opinion that doesn't fit into the world of the metropolitan elite, then so what?

If Bryant really wants this to go away he can do one of two things. Stop prodding the Bear with a stick, or alternatively send Tyson that famous photo of the younger Bryant posing in his underpants. I'd have thought even the opinionated Tyson will be struck dumb on seeing that!
