Justice system fails decent people

Justice system fails decent people
The two killers of Wayne Letherby, the Tonypandy scaffolder, have now been sent down for just 8 years each, for his admitted manslaughter. Allowing for time spent on remand expect to see them causing mayhem in someone else's life within a few years. Just six years ago each of them got 4 years' youth detention for a despicable case of wounding with intent on the girlfriend of one of them, who was left blind for life in her right eye. Photos released today show the extent of her appalling injuries after these brutes, both 19 at the time, laid in to her and amongst other things, whipped her with a belt. She suffered a collapsed eyeball, a fracture to the base of her skull and bone damage to her face. They got just 4 years but somehow again got sentenced on two separate occasions in 2012 and 2013 on battery charges. Why didn't they get thrown inside for a long time on one of these occasions, in which case Wayne Letherby would still be enjoying Friday nights relaxing with his son?

Wayne Letherby leaves a distraught widow, a fatherless son and a grandchild without a grampie.

This case yet again confirms to me the utter failure of the justice system to keep us safe from monsters in our midst. What the hell were psychopaths like these doing living among decent people and why can't we have sentences that keep violent criminals who have habitually offended banged up for the rest of their natural?
