Trust Snippets - w/e 26th September
Weekly updates a day early as the author is off tomorrow;
- Our fundraising for new fuel pumps is off to a great start with, £1000 donated by Scottish Woodlands, £130 donated online at https://fundrazr.com/campaigns/7rpI0/ab/a40wi5, pledge gifts from a variety of local companies and finally a set of signed books from the renowned author Neil Gaiman. Please keep on giving to ensure fuel supplies continue in Sleat!
- The Trust have been awarded £122,169 from Community Broadband Scotland (CBS) to make our broadband project a reality. Work will start in earnest towards the end of October. Thanks to Calum Stiven and Trust staff involved in this project along with the support from CBS over the last two years for making this happen.
- Next Wednesday the Trust welcomes the entire board of Highlands and Islands Enterprise for a visit and presentation of all our community work.
- We are now accepting news items for the next issue of the An Slèiteach community newsletter. Deadline date for entries is the 11th November.
- Drop in visit today by Kirsty MacColl of the Plunkett Foundation.
- The Junior Climate Challenge Fund Board will visit Sleat on the 11th of October and Chris will give a talk to them regarding the Clean Sleat project.
- Trust board meeting on Monday.
