This week’s updates as follows;
• An Sleiteach, the Trust newsletter, has been completed and will be out next week. Thanks to the media team and all those that contributed content (and Louise Robertson for packing the envelopes).
• Six members of the National Forest Land Scheme committee visited last week for an update on progress with Tormore Forest. All seemed impressed and happy with their visit.
• Arrangements have been made for Sharon to visit two community groups on the Isle of Mull in October.
• We have two new applications to the Tormore Community Fund which will be processed by the awards committee within the next couple of weeks.
• Representatives of Zerowaste Scotland have visited the Trust and agreed to look at funding local food related community events/training.
• The Trust and the Camuscross and Duisdale Initiative will meet on the 22nd October as part of their regular sharing of information.
• Duncan has been asked to talk at a BIG Lottery GCA event at Eden Court Theatre on the 6th of November.
• The Trust has been asked if it would accept a visit from MSP’s Rhoda Grant and David Stewart within the next couple of months. Available dates have been supplied.
• Heather McDermott and Sam Graham are being trained in shop procedures to provide holiday/sickness cover for Trading.
• We have learned that our SRDP application for funding for our Tormore wood fuel facility will be put before the RPAC committee within the next two weeks.
