Our site is widely regarded as the best allotment site in the Borough of Spelthorne and this has come about  because, for the past 40 years it has been managed directly (under licence from the local authority) by a committee of plot-holders.

Newcomers are always welcome, whether you are experienced or a complete beginner.  Friendly advice is always available to beginners from older hands.

 Please note that we give preference to applications from the Shepperton and Sunbury area because of the difficulty of maintaining an allotment plot if you live some distance away.

The composition of our membership is currently about 60% men and 40% women.  The age range is wide and includes several families with small children.

Plot rents are set by Spelthorne Council and are very reasonable.  There is also a charge for water and other services provided by the Assocation, which is also a very reasonable amount.

 Newcomers are allocated a quarter (25ft x 25ft) plot.  Additional area can be allocated if sufficient cultivation skill and application to the task is demonstrated.  Sometimes half (50ft x 25ft) plots are available subject to guarantees of full cultivation.
