Craig's 40th Birthday!

Those of you who follow the band and my ramblings on this site will have heard of our friend Craig, the fisherman.

We never know when he's going to appear as it depends on stuff like the weather, the catch, repairs to the boat etc so when he left on Sunday, we really didn't expect to see him for at least 10days or so. We certainly never thought for a minute that he'd be back last night in time to celebrate his 40th birthday with us all in the Gellions!

Rory had gone out and bought balloons and cake etc and we were all set to put his picture up on the birthday banner so we could wish him a Happy Birthday and raise a glass to him in his absence, when we got the word that the weather had made it impossible for them to stay out at sea.  The fact that they'd had a fair size haul in that two days clinched it for their return.

I know Craig had a great time - as did we all - and was chuffed that we'd helped him celebrate his big day.

PS: Left my car at Davie's this morning as I didn't think I should be driving after the drink I had last night - got a parking ticket!!!
