June Munro has Highland roots and still lives in the tropical end of the Struie. She has travelled widely and is a dedicated people watcher. Some of her pieces have been published in women's magazines.

June is one of the founding members of Ross-shire Writers and we are sad to say good-bye as she moves south to be closer to her family. Ever an inspirational writer,  June's 'tongue in cheek'  poetry by her own admission inclines towards the McGonagall school...here's her

Goodbye to Ross-shire Writers! 

Reg, Reg, Sandra, Sandra, Christina Christina and Me
Said 'Let's set up a writing group to help us try to be...
Famous in the literary world'...it can't be hard, thought we.
Reg will write about travel, Chrsitina will write in verse
Sandra will do family history and I will do my worst.

Did our best to gather talent wherever it seemed to be.
Several came to join us - we lost a few as well
Some moved on to greater things...some just went to H...

Can scribe and talk and dream...
I am going away but every day I'll be wishing I was in the Team.
