Scottish Pipe Band Championships - Levengrove Park on Saturday 27th July 2013

Can you help please?
Our team of volunteers have been recording the news for over 30 years onto tapes and posting them on a weekly basis to blind and visually impaired people in Dumbarton, Helensburgh & the Vale of Leven.

We also provide and deliver two magazine tapes, and organise a
Summer outing and a Christmas lunch for our 70 listeners and their escorts.

This service is something of a lifeline, keeping listeners up-to-date with what is happening  locally and it also maintains a vital social contact for so many of our members in the community.

Like so many other voluntary organisations, we are finding it harder every year to secure grant funding, so any donation you may be able to make would be a tremendous help, with 100% of any money raised being used to sustain this long serving local cause.

We are a fully constituted organisation and also a registered Scottish charity: number
SCO16017.

Please reply to our Chairman, Bobby Simpson MBE via email: bobbyess1@talktalk.net.

Our postal address is:

Thanking you for your consideration,

The above letter can be downloaded from our library page.

Visitors could come and meet us at the Tombola Stall at the Pipe Band Championships.

The stall was run by Committee members of Rockvale Rebound and here is a great photo of Bobby with the prizes on what was a very sunny day.
