A potted history of the Ladies Open Triples
Started in 2007 organised and run by Pam Jones, with the help of all the members. The ladies primarily do the catering, taking the money on the day and making the all important tea, the fellas organise the parking, transportation of bowls from car to club, scoring and washing up. Of course we would not be able to hold this event so early in the bowling calendar if it wasn't for the hard work of our greenkeepers. Pam continued until 2013 and Eleanor York took over in 2014 guided by Pam and has done so ever since, keeping to Pam's format. The prize money has always been sponsered either by local businesses or individual members and friends of the club. A trophy was donated by Mr Peter and Mrs Beryl Lawley-Lewis and is presented every year by Beryl to the winners |
