Christmas Space Craft
The international space craft was set for a flying visit over South & West Wales and what perfect timing on a clear Christmas eve.It was due to appear over the horizon at around 5.20pm. The camera was set on a continuous 30 sec exp. the trajectory was set, all I had to was wait, and to my excitement she appears over the horizon right on time at 5.20 pm.
The space station is the length of a rugby pitch and over the past 14yrs has been home to more than 200 astronauts. The craft is orbiting some 200 miles above earth and completes a lap of the planet in 92 mins.
This image shows the trajectory of the craft under a waxing crescent moon.
