Neath Arts Club Chairman is honoured 

Neath Arts Club began its 2014 - 2015 programme with a presentation to honour its long serving Chairman. Peter Soderstrom, who has chaired the Club for twenty out of the 54 years of its existence, was presented with a framed calligraphic scroll recording his years of dedicated service to the town's Arts Club on Wednesday, 3rd September. The presentation was made by Vice-President Margaret Thorne CBE who herself has given long service to the Neath Arts Club. There followed a programme of classical arias sung by mezzosoprano Rachel Moras accompanied by Dr William Reynolds. There was a large and appreciative audience for this finely presented classical music evening. The musical entertainment was followed the cutting of an exquisitely decorated cake to honour the Chairman, Peter Soderstrom. The Neath Arts Club, whose interests cover the whole spectrum of the cultural arts, meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Constitutional Club in Orchard Street.
