Janice Dudley writes about the May Fun Day

As Chair of Blaenhonddan Community Council Festivals Committee,  I wish to say  that our Family Fun Day at the Owain Glyn Dwr Community Centre and Waunceirch Field  held on May Day Monday 5th May was a tremendous success

The Weather stayed fine, thankfully,  and the event was opened by our Mini and Mickey Mouse. The little ones were thrilled to have the opportunity to dance with them.

Thanks go to the following for their super Demonstrations, Ann’s  Line Dancing Troup, Paul Summers Marshal Arts ,Mid and West Wales Fire Brigade Demonstrations by the Neath Fire Men. And Christine Lee Jones for her beautiful singing. All gave their time freely. We had lots to entertain all ages ,Circus Skills Juggling and wood Carving Demonstrations, Animals and Pony Rides , Bouncy Castles and lots to entertain the Children without the large expense of some events.

I wish to thank Avon Vets for providing the Judging for our super Dog Show.

As a Council we want to give back to our Six Communities and I would like to thank our hard working Councillors who give their time freely, and  for their dedication and hard work for the Communities in which they serve.
